Saami Parliament Library Karasjok Norway

I visited the Saami Parliament Building in Karasjok, Norway and was pleasantly surprised by the combination of traditional Saami architecture with modern information technology. Thousands of little lamps hanging from the ceiling represent the stars of the northern sky.

The book collection represent a total overview of all books printed in the Saami language. Varying from information books, novels, children's literature and official government documentation.

An interesting place to enjoy modern fascilities including free internet, while being surrounded by traditional Saami art.
